Proof that retail once did work in the Tayco Street area comes from this ad for the Brin Drugstore, conveniently located in the Brin Building, of course most known for the theater. (Looking at the ad, it appears the typesetter wasn't sure if it was the Brin Drugstore or just Brin Drugs, judging from the gaping space between "drugs" and the rest of the word.)
