What lucky kid wouldn't have welcomed this under their Christmas tree? The Menasha DX station was a half block from my house and somehow this escaped my attention. Seeing as it was 1964, I'm sure my attention was diverted by GI Joe as that was the first year of his existence; I was a fervent fan.
I don't recall a DX station at Third and DePere in 1964. I worked part time at nearby United Paper and spent time at Coonan's on the Third and DePere corner BS-ing, under the elder Coonan's disapproving eye, with his sons Dan and Dave. Maybe the year is wrong. That's an awful lot of stuff for $3.98. Or maybe the location is wrong.
