Here's a feel-good story to start your week. Who can frown at adding another feathered friend to the population at the Gilbert duck pond?  And with all the turmoils in the world, simple kindnesses are, sometimes, the most meaningful.

  1. I loved going to Gilbert's ever since I was a small child. Our 7th grade duck ID class from Conant went there once. My favorite field trip. I still look in there every time I drive past. So what kind of duck is that??? It has the bill of a snow goose, the head of a goldeneye and the neck coloration of a Smew. Very odd.

    1. Very odd indeed. If you were from anywhere but menasha, I'd recommend counseling.
