With the sesquicentennial coming up, there's no harm in looking back fifty years at what the centennial celebration entailed. Of course, it was much more than beer tents and rides at Jefferson Park, as featured here today.

ReplyDeleteIt says the Andrews Sisters were to appear on July 31. LaVerne died in 1967 so I'm not sure who performed with Patty and Maxene...possibly Joyce DeYoung but that may even be doubtful. Maybe it was just Patty and Maxene. Ah, I can hear Rum and Coca-Cola in my head just now!
