This street view of Main Street looking east was photographed between 1886 (when the streetcar line was established between Menasha and Neenah) and 1898 (when the streetcars were electrified). As the carriage approaches the Bank of Menasha on the left, in the distance, you can see the R.M. Scott building at the corner of Main and Milwaukee and Beck's Meat Market. Next to that would have been Sam Roby's "Old Settler" store, dealing in groceries and other essentials.
