Drink Hearty

August 28, 1956, Appleton Post-Crescent
It's been a while since we've featured Twin City Beverages, but what could be more enticing than those icy cold fruit flavors on a hot Labor Day weekend?  Notice how, back then, 12 ounces was considered "king-size," when a 7 ounce bottle was the norm.

  1. The building where this was bottled on Water street was recently demolished. The building housed various businesses since the days of TCB such as Custom Marine and the JB Edwards Glove company to mention a few.

  2. My memories of the sight, sounds and smells of Twin City Beverages are as vivid as the experience 60 years ago. As Dad and Mom operated the concession stands at Menasha Ball Park, Jefferson Ball Park, and, if I remember accurately, Smith Park - there were many trips to TCB to pick up "pop" ("soda" for you East Coasters). Never missed an opportunity as the owner always offered us kids a free sample. Orange was my favorite flavor. [I often tell people I am from the "Twin Cities" - but their response is "Minneapolis or St. Paul?" Time to educate as to the original "Twin Cities" - Menasha and Neenah. Just as the original "UW" is the University of Wisconsin Badgers - not the University of Washington Huskies!!]]
