Monsignor Joseph Becker was an institution at St. Mary's as evidenced by the caption above. Heck, it could be argued that he WAS the institution. I was fortunate enough to have had the benefit of Monsignor Becker's religious instruction while a student in the grade school and I know my own siblings and mother were touched by his presence as well in the previous years.
I played guitar for the first guitar Mass at St Mary's. Farther Becker was the officiate . He seemed set back by the songs with the up beat sound
