To put into context as to where this fire was some 55+ years ago, imagine the area across the street from the current Curtis Reed Square and City Hall downtown. Yes, lots of changes over the years.

ReplyDeleteThanx for the two articles on the fire. I had forgotten there were two fires at that location within a few months. My Dad was manager of the Western Union office next to the TV store. The office suffered serious water and smoke damage and he relocated temporarily to the Hotel Menasha lobby. After the second fire WU moved solely to the Neenah location. Thanx for the memory. Congrats on your first five years
