Expressway

January 28, 1959, Appleton Post-Crescent
It's hard for me to believe that US Hwy 41, now I-41, was once a two-lane highway in my own lifetime.  The engineers and planners of this marvel would be dumbfounded at what this "expressway" has evolved into, some fifty years later.

  1. County Trunk P... was that Winchester Road, State 150, now CTH II?

  2. I believe it was Racine Street Road, that went past St. Mary's cemetery and curved around until it joined up with Hwy 47.

    1. But Racine Street Road was nowhere near US 41, as the CTH P mentioned in the article.
